Brisbane Underground Music Scene or BUMS as it was known, was an independantly published fanzine that was published between
1990-1994. BUMS focussed primarily on what was happening in the Brisbane music and theatre communities - at the time, communities that
were starved for any form of mass media coverage.
These were the days before email and the internet, before facebook and twitter - when your only hope of knowing what was happening or
going down in town was a flyer, handbill or poster on a wall - at best.
It's now the year 2010 - 20 years since the first issue of BUMS - April 26 1990. To celebrate we ye olde BUMS staff have
planned a few things.

Thanks to one Mr Ben Mellonie (ex-EarWigs) we were able to get the original BUMS 1990/90 Brisband compilation remastered onto CD. The guys out at Grevillea
(who did the original tape) took care of this and you won't believe just how good 1990 actually sounded!
With little time, less budget and no experience we also went out and shot a documentary, technically, "still being made" this cut/edit is a wonderful
record of what people who were actually there thought.
